In 2017 & 2018 I'm heading back to India to host two small group photo tours through some of the most photogenic - must visit - parts of the country. There will be 2 trips to India - October 2017 and April 2018. They will be my 7th and 8th visits to India over 18 years. I know the country well, in fact, it's not an exaggeration to say I'm as comfortable on the streets of New Delhi as Auckland. This photo tour will take you to the best sights and give you a fun experience getting to know this colourful and at times crazy country.
The idea of running a photo tour came about after my Encounter India Photo Exhibition as I had had many enquiries about travelling in India and how difficult it is for first-time visitors. And it's true, it is difficult! Hence, this tour aims to let you focus on your photography, taking away all the stresses and hassles that normal first-time travellers to India experience. Please note, this is not a tour to help you learn how to use your camera. I presume you can already shoot on various settings. Prior to departure I will run a free workshop for all attendees focussing on travel/street photography. If you think you might need more tuition and you'd like to attend the India trip please contact me for some one-on-one shoot time. Prices are very reasonable and we can focus on whatever skill or technique it is you'd like help with.
This photo tour is about chaperoning you to the best spots at the best time of day, leaving you free to focus on your photography your way. I will handle and arrange, with the help of local 'fixers' where required, all the logistics of getting us to and from said locations with as much ease as is possible in a country of over a billion people. Partners, husbands, wives are welcome. It's not necessary to be a budding photographer to attend. The focus is on visiting the best locations and taking photos, but with what device you take them is up to you - everything from an iPhone to a Hasselblad is appropriate.
If you have any questions contact me, and if you're at all interested in signing up please email me for a copy of the itinerary... www.susanblick.com
